Our choreography employs Contemporary Partnering and Contact Improvisation, harnessing gravity, momentum, and impulse. Exploring movement through physical touch and weight sharing is important in our work because the calculated risk, heightened awareness, and spontaneity best allow us to express the complexity of our lived experience. We often reflect upon cultural differences, social issues, beliefs, and questions about traditional structures through our choreography.

Our live performance in collaboration with two muralists (ALFALFA and PUPILA) was presented to the Toronto public at a charity event in Summer. All funds raised were donated to Toronto Indigenous Harm Reduction and Black Lives Matter - Toronto. We are currently working on 3 new works, stay tuned!

In our workshop, we explore elements of Contemporary Partnering as well as lifts inspired by Contact Improvisation and elevation techniques developed by Kaeja d’Dance. In addition to workshops led by members of MDP, we also invite artists who share similar physicality and pedagogical philosophy to lead MDP workshops.
